The design by Patrick Woodroffe, we used Cascade flooring from British Harlequin with exceptionally speedy delivery (thank you Anita!) The team first mapped out the grid which proved to be a testing of mathematical wits, especially working 16th size for the backdrop! The flooring was then de-greased and the first coat applied using Bristol paint mixed 50/50 with Aqualak. A further 2 coats were necessary to achieve a solid finish. The grid lines were then overlaid with neat Bristol Aqualak for a tough, durable finish and left to cure for 72 hours. (Whilst back2front washed their paint brushes, had a cup of tea and danced to Mark Ronson) The end result is very striking. Quite often the simpler designs are the best !
